Anticipating Change - Envisioning Futures
SCENARIOS 2050 conducts journalistic research on technological change, social innovation, and strategies of 'future-oriented places'. We are an organisation dedicated to promoting the skills of futures thinking and strategic foresight with a special focus on scenario planning.
Our mission is to contribute to the growing public debate about how to imagine and shape our futures against the background of the unprecedented 'disruptions' of the 21st century.
We offer courses and facilitations which will help you to cultivate a structured, strategic and creative way of thinking about our rapidly changing world.
We design seminars and "Futures Camps" for students, organisations, communities and businesses.
We draw our inspiration from the last 70 years of research conducted by the transdisciplinary field
of futures studies.
The story of tomorrow begins today, with the mental models we choose to adopt, the scenarios we decide to explore, and the narratives we commit to tell.
Our educational initiative is about popularising the methods of foresight and futures thinking developed during the last 70 years, in combination with the techniques of storytelling, developed during the last 70 000 years.
